Regrettably, the Lambda 421 is no longer availble. We have designed the new Lambda 721 as a direct upgrade. The Lambda 721 is smaller, less expensive, carries 7 LEDs rather than 4, and it's modular design allows for quick and easy changes to your excitation wavelengths. The Lambda 721 represents an improvement in every regard.
The new design of the Lambda 721 introduces several practical improvements over the Lambda 421, making it much more flexible and user-friendly for fluorescence microscopy. One of the key features, is the ability to add new wavelengths later, providing future adaptability. The LED, excitation filter, and collimating optics are now combined in a single compact assembly, approximately the size of a filter cube, which allows for quick, tool-free LED installation. The filter cubes in the Lambda 721 are pre-aligned at the factory, to allow drop in swapping of different wavelengths. The Lambda 721 offers multiple control options, including USB and individual BNC connections for digital TTL control, whereas the 421 only supports USB and ring-buffer triggering. These upgrades make the Lambda 721 a more versatile and efficient solution for advanced high-speed microscopy applications.
